Hello! I was just writing about a somewhat insightful dream I just had, and it got kinda boring, so I decided to jump in here to maybe write something about liking other people. Let’s see what comes out, shall we?

Hello, how are you?
Can you please let me focus? I need to sound cool, ok?
Did I just interrupt you?
Oh, I’m sorry, but I just really need to talk to you.

I’m sorry if I’m—I just really need to focus.
I really get nervous around you.
Why?
That’s what I’m here to find out.

I’m not even there; I can’t actually double-text you.
Why? Too much drama to get to the good parts.
Mystery still unsolved. Why do I seem to like you?
Just one look and I can hear a bell ring. But I’ll try to hold it; don’t want the noise to interrupt my investigation.

Of course I’m into talking to you! What are you talking about?
I don’t want you to just like me and get that stored in a jar.
And what do you mean, I don’t even know your name?
And how’s that even my fault?

See, up there. Just up there. That sentence!
“I’m here to find out”
That’s the problem.

First of all, I’m not fucking there if my mind is wandering off all the time thinking about what to say.
And second, I’m not going in your direction to watch these fireworks that light my brain on fire (even though they’re cool as hell).
I’m running towards you because the danger of a collision , of kissing , makes me want to dance.

So, when I ask: Do we have similar tongues?
All I want to know is if you’re into the feeling of attrition.
I don’t want to be just a fit, and I don’t need my faults corrected.
I just want to trade the noises of my mind with the flavors of you.
